Frederick C. Waite was a medical educator who helped establish higher standards for medical and dental schools in the U.S. He founded the Dept. of Histology and Embryology at Western Reserve University Medical and Dental Schools in Cleveland, Ohio, where he was professor from 1901-40. Waite visited and inspected virtually every medical and dental school in the U.S. before and after World War I.
